| Surviving quitting smoking
Quitting smoking is no different than kicking an addiction to drugs or alcohol. Some even suggest it might be harder to avoid a relapse with cigarette smoking than it is with illicit drug use, as the availability of cigarettes (because they're not illegal) trumps that of illicit drugs. Perhaps the most telling testament to the difficulty of quitting is the number of people who routinely say "I've tried to quit smoking more than once." In fact, those people are very common, says Michael Fiore, M.D., M.P.H., who has acted as director of the Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention at the University of Wisconsin since 1992. According to Fiore, the average person who has successfully quit smoking has only done so after five or six failed attempts. What this underscores is that many smokers are fully aware they need to quit, it's just that the difficulty of quitting can be overwhelming.
Scaling a Minimalist Wall With Bright, Shiny Colors
Schapiro also drew on floral images in a type of feminist-inspired collage she called "femmage." And in her "Gates of Paradise" (1980) she applied domestic crafts materials lace, ribbons, fabric trim and so on to a theme associated with Lorenzo Ghiberti. Ms. Carlson's all-over tweedlike patterns, done with repeated strokes of thick paint, are less specific in their references. And even if Ms. Jaudon doesn't insist on Islamic art as a source for her crisp interlace designs, it surely had some effect. Ms. Kozloff is forthright about the debt she owes to Moroccan and Mexican tile work. Her melding of brilliant colors with a basic Minimalist grid has yielded generous results in public architectural projects, and in her poetic and intensely political recent art. Mr.

Folks, I am back in from a long time in the field..... The recent newscasts of the National Intelligence Estimate simply shows that the press does not understand the US Intelligence establishment well if at all. If you were to poll al of the analysts from each of the 16 Intelligence agencies (DIA, CIA, NSA, DoS Intel, DOE, etc) you would find obvious differences in what each of the agencies feels regarding the subject. So it all depends WHO is the final editor to see what comes out in the wash. From what I have heard it is DoS Intel who did the final editing and therefore it will undoubtedly follow their position which is usually "Diplomacy at all costs." .

Biographer: 'Moss and Doherty Together Still'
Kate Moss and Pete Doherty are still an item, according to the supermodel's biographer Fred Vermorel. The pair were presumed to have split shortly after Moss was snapped snorting cocaine during a recording session with Doherty's band Babyshambles. But Vermorel -- who is writing "Addicted to Love: Kate Moss" -- claims they have merely been maintaining a low-profile relationship to protect Moss in the press. He says, "I think all that's happened is that they've become scared of being photographed together. They want a bit of space to work things out between them without feeling that they're being crowded. "Their relationship's always been fairly free in any case -- he'd been with groupies at the height of their time together and she'd been seen with other men, too.
