Harley has fallen 30% to 40% ahead of previous U.S. recessions, only to rebound when the economy perks up. This time, the stock could top 60, although that is unlikely to happen tomorrow, or the day after. THE NEXT 12 MONTHS AREN'T going to be easy for Harley, which announced in September that it expects a modest dip in 2007 revenue, and a 4% to 6% decline in earnings per share, to $3.69 to $3.77. Last year the company netted $1.04 billion, or $3.93 a share, on sales of $5.8 billion. Harley also said that it sees a "challenging" environment in 2008, with moderate revenue gains, lower operating margins and growth in earnings per share of 4% to 7%. The company's reduced guidance and the market's broader fears are reflected in Wall Street analysts' ambivalence about the stock.
Bear with Us
Wow, I digressed from today's game. I'm back now. Rex Grossman is not going to be taking reps at the quarterback position, which to many seems to be a boon. What isn't a boon is that Lance Briggs won't be taking reps at linebacker, Tommie Harris won't be taking reps at defensive tackle, and neither Charles Tillman nor Nathan Vasher will be taking reps at cornerback. That leads some of my colleagues (my editor George Knue, most notably) to predict a Bears loss. Caldarelli and I seem to be the only ones who think the Lions are, well, the flippin' Lions. As carried away as Bears fans get when they're going good, they seem to get twice as carried away when they're doing poorly and predict things like 35-10 Lions. Despite a high-powered passing game, the Lions have a whopping 203 yards on 54 carries this season.

Clean sweeps at Lakewood bars
In July 2006, major trouble erupted outside Bourbon Street Northwest, 6008 Mount Tacoma Drive S.W. A man was shot dead and two were wounded. Officer Manos said violence outside it and a neighboring bar, formerly called The Brickyard, came in waves several years ago. He once saw 20 to 30 people fighting outside. "People were really getting hurt," he said. Inside Bourbon Street Northwest last week, business was slow. A handful of drinkers sat at the bar when Hall and Manos arrived to conduct their routine check. "There's no trouble here," said bartender Rebekah Thornburg. The bar is for sale, she and others said. MORE CROWDS, MORE SWEEPS Police determine where to concentrate their bar sweeps and two-officer checks based on total calls for police help and on how many reports they write for serious incidents.
Times New Roman
But the quality fell dramatically after the first sequel, and even a halfway decent Medal of Honor game is considered a surprise. Meanwhile, the Brothers in Arms and Call of Duty series have produced better World War II action in the past several years. It's time for an honorable discharge. Tony Hawk: Once the gold standard of extreme sports video games, the Tony Hawk series is like one of those new Charlie Brown holiday specials: They only serve as a reminder of how much better the old ones were. With one or two exceptions, these skating, snowboarding and other trick-based games are looking old. Tony Hawk is in desperate need of a quick death or a smart reinvention- could a motion-sensitive device such as the Wii Fit balance board be the answer? Tomb Raider: Much has been made of the improvement of this series with the past two installments, but that isn't much of a testimony considering the franchise had decomposed five years ago.
