There's no way I could go through what he did, or put my kids through that. "At least with something like cancer you can communicate, say how you feel and explain why your body hurts. "But my father deteriorated at such a rapid speed he became a shell of himself - dribbling, wearing a diaper and tied into a wheelchair because he didn't realise he could no longer walk. "Some say the disease is hereditary so at the first sign I want to be put out of my misery. "Ozzy and I have asked our lawyers to make the appropriate arrangements. It's taken away some of the fear of our ending and is a final gift of love to our kids." Sharon is fiercely proud and protective of her family, who shot to international fame following MTV's hit reality show The Osbournes. Aimee declined to take part but Kelly and Jack became household names - and their problems with drink and drugs and stints in rehab became public property.
For Jonathan Rhys Meyers, it's time to grow up
If the name is distant, then that long, lean face with the piercing eyes and the pillow lips has probably made an impression over the last 12 years, from his second film, as the Irish assassin in Neil Jordan's "Michael Collins," to those "brooding pretty-boy" turns in films such as "Titus," "Ride With the Devil" and "Velvet Goldmine." Lately, a new version of Rhys Meyers has emerged -- gym-sculpted, sober and professionally focused. Last year he won a Golden Globe for his lead role in the CBS miniseries "Elvis," and he's just wrapped the second season of Showtime's "The Tudors," in which he plays King Henry VIII like, well, a rock star. His latest film, "August Rush," is another departure for Rhys Meyers: He isn't the lead, and the film is a fable, a sweet-natured tale about the redemptive power of music and family.
Police crack down on homeless activity, advocates question motives
Then they go back to Brentwood and Hendersonville where their streets remain clean. I want the homeless to be fed; but I don't want to trip over the ham bones, etc. If they want to feed the homeless, they need to do it in their church basements. If not, they need to make contributions to the mission and other organizations who actually do feed these people. By: TharonChandler on 11/30/07 Good points ROBBCHADWICK.People "dropping off" food to the homeless is actually an insult to them; similar to the way that people in Memphis used to save "special garbage" for the "garbage workers" in the years just before the famous "Memphis Garbage Workers Strike" in the 1950's. (I am a Man!) I'm glad I'm not currently homeless and I'm glad I'm Not in Tennessee. Russian Fuel Flows Into Jules Verne Automated Transfer Vehicle
Fuelling of the Jules Verne Automated Transfer Vehicle has started at Europe's Spaceport. ATV is being loaded with Russian refuelling propellant destined for the International Space Station. After a month of fuelling operations, the launch and maiden voyage of the first European resupply spaceship is scheduled for the second half of February. Early this month, the 20-tonne Jules Verne Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) was transferred to the huge fuelling chamber within the giant S5 integration building at Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana. Inside the fuelling chamber, the spacecraft was prepared for preliminary propellant filling operations, which began as scheduled on 8 January and will continue until early February. In cooperation with ESA's ATV project experts and Russian engineers on site, a dozen specialised technicians from Astrium sites in Bremen, Lampoldshausen (Germany), Stevenage (United Kingdom) and Les Mureaux (France) are in charge of these time-consuming and delicate operations.

The issue of non-linking of the elevated road took a fresh turn today with the municipal corporation finding the links as per the original design non-viable. The civic administration is now considering the other design under which the elevated road would be linked to several places in the old city. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting held between city mayor Hakam Singh Gyaspura, senior deputy mayor Parvin Bansal, commissioner Vikas Partap, traffic experts and MC engineers. The meeting deliberated on the fact that the seven points where the old city was to be linked to the elevated road were not viable in the present circumstances. So the MC was forced to think about a new design that is feasible. Talking to The Tribune after the meeting, Bansal said they were finding ways and means through which the residents of the old city could take utmost benefit of the elevated road.
Pistons subdue Bobcats in OT
But the Bobcats showed enough toughness and second-effort to give Pistons a tough test. "It was tough, it was a dogfight," said Pistons guard Rip Hamilton, who had 26 points but was 2-for-9 from 3-point range. Hamilton also came out with some noticeable wear, with his right eye turning red from a Nazr Mohammed poke. The game ended strangely, capping off a tough night. The Pistons led 101-100, thanks to a 14-foot Rip Hamilton jumper, with 16.2 seconds remaining. The Bobcats set up a final play, with former Michigan State star Jason Richardson taking a 16-foot jumper from the left corner. Bobcats center Emeka Okafor disturbed the ball's flight, right by the rim. Officials ruled offensive goaltending, the Pistons got the ball back and the game was over.
