| Surviving quitting smoking
Quitting smoking is no different than kicking an addiction to drugs or alcohol. Some even suggest it might be harder to avoid a relapse with cigarette smoking than it is with illicit drug use, as the availability of cigarettes (because they're not illegal) trumps that of illicit drugs. Perhaps the most telling testament to the difficulty of quitting is the number of people who routinely say "I've tried to quit smoking more than once." In fact, those people are very common, says Michael Fiore, M.D., M.P.H., who has acted as director of the Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention at the University of Wisconsin since 1992. According to Fiore, the average person who has successfully quit smoking has only done so after five or six failed attempts. What this underscores is that many smokers are fully aware they need to quit, it's just that the difficulty of quitting can be overwhelming.

I wasn't really counting it, but then I saw it in the paper," McDonald said. "I would love to get it, but I'm not (going to) because this is my last year. I need some more minutes, man. But I'll still take (the steals mark). It's mine until somebody takes it." Share this article What is this? .

He needs to do a lot more to restore the system to normalcy. On the political front, on the elections, the courts and the tribunals are doing their jobs. So far, they have not done badly. We expect them to do more especially as far as the presidential election is concerned. I am leading a team of lawyers for the presidential candidate of the Action Congress (AC) (Alhaji Atiku Abubakar). We have got to the stage of filing addresses. Towards the end of this week (last week), we will file our own address, sequel to the address filed on behalf of the respondent (Yar'Adua). Hopefully, with the addresses in, the Court of Appeal, which is the Presidential Election Tribunal, will be able to give its ruling in two to three months' time. So, we will know where we are. Until that is done, we will not know where we are politically.

Growing ever bolder in their naked grab for power they are leaving scorched earth behind those who disagree with them. This is why Dick Gephardt, Joe Lieberman, and Zell Miller no longer find themselves included in the modern Democratic Party. What is left over for the Democrats are wildly anti-American, anti-God, and anti-biblical leftists who are now bragging about their use of brute force to crush the voices of those who disagree with them. Perhaps that's why this week in one of the boldest moves yet by a sitting liberal, Democrat Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez proclaimed, "The real purpose of SB 1437 is to outlaw traditional perspectives on marriage and family in the state school system." He continued, "The way you correct a wrong (perspective) is by outlawing.'Cause if you don't outlaw it, then people's biases tend to take over and dominate the perspective and the point of view." Nunez's solution to the people he disagrees with is to outlaw their ability to disagree with him.
